Tiếp nhận Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu vào lòng để nhận được sự tha thứ tội lỗi và được nối lại mối tương giao với Cha Thiên Thượng là một quyết định quan trọng nhất trong đời. Dùng trí óc để tìm hiểu Thượng Đế hay xúc động mỗi khi suy niệm về sự chết trên cây thập tự của Chúa Giê-xu chưa đủ để bước vào sự tương giao với Thượng Đế. Muốn có sự sống vĩnh hằng và có sự tương giao mật thiết với Thượng Đế chúng ta phải tiếp nhận Chúa Giê-xu vào lòng. Thánh Kinh chép: “Thượng Đế đã ban sự sống đời đời cho chúng ta, và sự sống ấy ở trong con Ngài. Ai có Đức Chúa Con thì có sự sống, ai không có con Thượng Đế thì không có sự sống.” (I Giăng 5:11-12).

Muốn tiếp nhận Chúa chúng ta cần làm những điều quan trọng sau đây:

Điều Thứ Nhất: Chấp nhận mình là người có tội chưa có sự tương giao mật thiết với Thượng Đế. Thánh Kinh chép: “Vì mọi người đều phạm tội, không còn phản chiếu vinh quang Thượng Đế.” (Thơ La mã 3:23)

Điều Thứ Hai: Sẵn sàng ăn năn, hối cải và quay ngược lại con đường tội lỗi. Thánh Kinh chép: “Vậy, các ngươi hãy ăn năn và trở lại, đặng cho tội lỗi mình được xóa đi.” (Công vụ các sứ đồ 3:19)

Điều Thứ Ba: Tin rằng Chúa Giê-xu là Đấng vô tội đã chết vì tội lỗi mình và đã sống lại để ban cho chúng ta sự sống vĩnh cửu. Thánh Kinh chép: “Vì chỉ có một Đức Chúa Trời và chỉ có một Đấng Trung bảo ở giữa Đức Chúa Trời và loài người, tức là Đức Chúa Giê-xu Christ, là người; Ngài đã phó chính mình Ngài là giá chuộc mọi người.” (I Ti-mô-thê 2:5-6)

Điều Thứ Tư: Tiếp nhận Chúa Giê-xu làm Chúa và làm Chủ đời sống mình qua lời cầu nguyện trực tiếp với Ngài. Thánh Kinh chép: “Vì Thượng Đế yêu thương nhân loại, đến nỗi đã ban Con một của Ngài, hầu cho hễ ai tin Con ấy, không bị hư mất mà được sự sống vĩnh cửu.” (Phúc Âm Giăng 3:16)

Chúng tôi xin đề nghị quí vị thưa với Chúa bằng lời cầu nguyện chân thành sau đây như một lời trò chuyện của chính mình cùng Cha thiên thượng:

“Lạy Cha Nhân Từ, con nhận biết con là người có tội cần được sự tha thứ. Con tin chắc rằng Chúa Giê-xu đã giáng thế để chịu chết đền tội cho con, Ngài cũng đã sống lại để con được sự sống vĩnh cửu. Con xin ăn năn mọi tội lỗi và đặt lòng tin nơi Chúa hôm nay. Con xin Chúa ngự vào lòng con để hướng dẫn con trên bước đường theo Chúa. Con tạ ơn Chúa và cầu nguyện nhân danh Chúa Cứu Thế Giê-xu. Amen.”

Amen nghĩa là mong muốn nhận được điều mình cầu xin.

Thánh kinh chép: “Ai kêu cầu danh Chúa thì sẽ được cứu.” (Thơ La-mã 10:13) và “Hễ ai tin nhận Ngài thì Ngài ban cho quyền làm con cái Thựơng Đế.” (Phúc Âm Giăng 1:12). Nếu quí vị đã cầu xin Ngài vào lòng và tin vào sự Cứu Chuộc của Chúa Giê-xu, thì tội lỗi quí vị đã được tha, quí vị đã trở thành con cái của Ngài.
